With the 6th Annual BPAS Partner Conference just around the corner, we’re shining the spotlight on one of our new speakers—Nancy Melcher. As President and CEO (Chief Engagement Officer) of MOR Strategy Partners, Nancy brings invaluable experience and outside-of-the-box thinking about the art and science of optimizing engagement with employer and employee audiences alike. Let’s take a closer look at this dynamic speaker and why she’s excited to participate in the conference (and why we’re excited to have her).

A bit about her background

Nancy MelcherAt the University of Wisconsin Nancy graduated with a major in Interpersonal and Organizational Communication with a minor in Psychology. Her career spans executive Human Resource positions in healthcare and manufacturing. Having worked in various roles as an HR Executive, Business Advisor, and Owner, her entire career has focused on helping employers and employees optimize their unique professional connection. Nancy is a seasoned human capital champion who holds distinctive training and expertise as a Communication Consultant/Coach. For more than twenty years she’s been a business owner and worked as a Communication/Employee Engagement Consultant.

Epiphany/ “AH-HAH” moment in her career

Nancy realized that our industry has spent its resources focused on WHAT we provide and less on HOW we deliver it, thereby limiting the results we hope for. As a Benefit Futurist, Nancy continues to seek ways to deliver tomorrow’s benefits today. She’s passionate about “Benefits that Benefit” because we cannot value what we don’t understand. At the root of delivering more effective messages to optimize engagement and improve outcomes are relationship skills—which involves a lifelong continuous learning process.

In 1998, she and a team of creative marketing futurists developed the brand MOR, committed to helping employers and employees maximize our resources (MOR).  Her focus is on continuous discovery, design, and implementation of meaningful programs and strategies that would replace and enhance the outdated HR delivery systems which increasingly have failed to meet the needs of today’s ever changing workforce. She’s been committed to that focus ever since.

The Power of True Partners

Nancy shares her thoughts about participating in the 2019 BPAS Partner Conference as a speaker:

Very soon, BPAS will gather to celebrate the unique value of our industry and professional Partners.  We will encounter people with expertise that enhances our own. Our hope is to learn and reboot. We want to encounter new thinking and strategies that will maximize our other professional relationships.

As we have partnered with BPAS, we continue to explore new solutions and growth opportunities, inspiring us to build better programs and broader markets.  This will be our first year attending the BPAS Partner Conference and we are honored to be selected as a Guest Speaker. We are energized to share our experience and decades of success in developing proprietary Employee Engagement Benefit Models and Methodology.

We are excited about the upcoming BPAS Partner Conference and the opportunity to share our recipe for MOR engagement within an industry that advances the well-being of so many. For three decades, we have been maximizing our partnerships across industries, while offering a wide variety of programs and qualified plans.  The recipe is universal and its principles are enduring!

We think our attendees will agree! Attendees will take away specific ideas about how to optimize engagement and improve outcomes—ideas they can use in their own practices, which is one reason we’re so excited to welcome her to the conference.

On a personal note

Nancy is a lifelong Wisconsinite. When she isn’t working, she enjoys some favorite personal pleasures including nature, long walks, enriching conversation, writing, reading and a great pizza!
