2017 BPAS Partner Conference

On June 5-7 BPAS hosted its 4th Annual Partner Conference in Philadelphia, PA. During the 3-day conference held at the Hilton at Penn’s Landing, BPAS welcomed over 200 attendees to the conference to deliver a well-rounded agenda filled with key information designed to strengthen financial partner relationships.
BPAS CEO, Barry Kublin kicked off the first general session, Re-engaging the Plan Participant, focused on issues surrounding participant outcomes, including participant education, retirement income adequacy, regulatory issues, and more.
Other conference highlights included keynote presentations from industry leaders—Steve Saxon, Tom Kmak, Ralph Acampora, Amy Glynn, and Charlie Epstein—who delivered the latest updates on:
- Fee benchmarking
- Regulatory and technical issues
- Market insights
- Improving participant outcomes through financial wellness programs
- Innovative prospecting techniques
- Leveraging interpersonal relations during the sales process.
In addition to general session presentations, the event included panel discussions, breakout sessions, and networking opportunities.
Our first ever plan sponsor panel, moderated by BPAS President of Plan and Recordkeeping Services, Paul Neveu, gave HR panelists the opportunity to share their perspective on current plan issues and goals, and they discussed specific ways BPAS services have benefited their plans.
A number of other BPAS team members also moderated panel discussions and led breakout sessions designed to encourage interaction with the audience. These sessions focused on a variety of topics, including marketing for total retirement outsourcing, targeted marketing strategies, HSAs as a tandem solution to DC plans, DB-related strategies, conducting annual plan review meetings, and much more.
