Stephen S. Hand, (CIMA)
President

Hand Benefits & Trust Company

Stephen graduated from Texas Tech University, majoring in Finance.  He began his career with Hand Benefits & Trust as an account executive, and has broadened his duties today to include trust accounting, investments, marketing, and administrative activities.

In addition to his role as Executive Vice President of Hand Securities Inc., a Registered Securities Representative, and an IMCA – Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA), A General and FINOP Securities Principal, Stephen is President of Hand Benefits & Trust Company.

William David Hand, MSPA, MAAA
CEO, Hand Benefits & Trust

Executive VP Benefit Plan Administrators

CEO of Hand Benefits & Trust, since 1991, and EVP of BPAS, Inc. David is a graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is an Enrolled Actuary (EA), a member of the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA), a member of the American Academy of Actuaries (AAA), a Registered Securities Representative, and a Registered General Securities Principal.

An active member in his community and a recognized leader in the pension industry. David has served as past Chairman of the ASPPA Business Owners Conference and currently serves on the ASPPA Board of Directors for CIKR (Counsel for Independent 401(k) Record keepers). David frequently speaks before professional organizations on such timely topics as “the impact of legislative and regulatory changes in the public and private pension and employee-benefit industry”, and “the impact of technology on the delivery of benefit services”. David was most recently featured in an article with Dr. Frank Sortino in national publications on “The 401(k) Retirement Income Risk”

Kathy Harvey - 13 years of service
Vice President

Kathy graduated from Sam Houston State University, majoring in Finance. She began her career in commercial banking operations in 1979, and served as Cashier and Chief Operations Officer before joining Hand Benefits & Trust Company in 1998 as Compliance Officer. Today she is Vice President and responsible for compliance; trust administration and operations; collective investment funds administration; and transfer agency services.

Martin Campbell
Senior Institutional Trust Consultant

Hand Benefits & Trust Company

Martin consults with and performs due diligence on investment management companies, registered investment advisors, 401(k) TPAs and other financial institutions to establish collective investment funds.  He specializes in target date fund structures used as qualified default investment alternatives within participant directed retirement plans.

Martin was previously a senior product manager with Northern Trust’s Corporate and Institutional Services group where he worked with multinationals and investment managers launching cross-border pooling vehicles for pension plan investors.  During his 15 year career with Northern Trust he managed the marketing team responsible for strategic planning and positioning of the asset servicing business.  Prior to the marketing role he was the primary contact for Northern Trust Retirement Consulting’s largest defined benefit administration clients.  Martin started his career at Northern Trust in 1995 as a 401(k) call center representative responding to participant queries and processing plan distributions and withdrawals.

He has spoken on retirement solutions and investment structures at multiple forums including the Deloitte Global Employer Services Conference, the Northern Trust Institutional Client Conference, and the Committee on Investment of Employee Benefit Assets International Sub-Committee meeting.  He earned his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management Part-Time MBA Program and holds the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist designation from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans.

C. Douglas Kohler
Vice President

Doug attended the University of Oklahoma and the University of Houston, majoring in accounting.  Prior to joining the Company in 1983, Doug worked six years in the accounting departments of North American Mortgage and American General Investment Corporation.  His duties at HB&TCo include collective investment funds administration.

Kelli Hill
Trust Officer

Hand Benefits & Trust Company

Kelli Hill, who joined Hand Benefits & Trust in 1996, is a Trust officer and serves as a member of the companies Asset Allocation committee.  Prior to joining Hand Benefits & Trust, Kelli was a manger of Securities Operations at River Oaks Trust Co. in Houston, Texas for 6 years.

Kelli is currently a registered investment advisor with Hand Securities, Inc. and is licensed with FINRA as a General Securities Representative (Series 7) and a Securities Investment Advisor (Series 66).  Kelli is heavily involved in the day-to-day operations and compliance of Hand Securities, Inc., member FINRA/SIPC.
